The Digital Peephole
Dec 2010 28

Updating an old idea – finally. The Digital Peephole eliminates the small, distorted images created by old fashioned peephole’s fish-eye style lenses by providing a large, full-color digital display for seeing visitors. Its lens provides a wide 96º field of view, and it uses a 1.3 megapixel CMOS, the same image sensor employed by digital cameras.

It’s practical for blind dates too, when you turn this peephole on, the image of the person standing outside your door is displayed on the device’s screen without alerting them to your presence – grenades beware! Now, you can easily just wait them out and be confident their gone before exiting. Its also a great for home security as well, children can use it who may not be able to reach a standard peephole–to clearly see who is visiting.

You can also magnify an image using its zoom function, providing an enhanced view. Installs in 5 minutes, its 1/2″ diameter barrel fits through any standard door with a thickness of 1 1/4″ to 2 1/4″. Visit this site to see the Digital Peephole.
