The Quirky Art-School Hipster Sounds Of Pomplamoose
Jan 2011 05

Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn of Pomplamoose started making music together in the summer of ’08, and decided to form a band. In that time their popularity has skyrocketed because of their unique and genuine sound. Their music on You Tube is always being updated as well, so there’s always something new to be discovered.

As Jack Conte says their videos mostly take the form of ‘Video Songs’ and that they have two rules for them.

  1. What you see is what you hear. (No lip-syncing for instruments or voice)
  2. If you hear it, at some point you see it. (No hidden sounds)

All of their sales are done online through their Pomplamoose You Tube Channel and My Space Page. So much for record companies, the public has spoken.

Pomplamoose thus represents the collaborative efforts of the two afore-mentioned musicians. It also means grapefruit in French. See more on their Pomplamoose Facebook Page.
